  • Bachelors' Degree in French in 1987 at Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

  • CODOFIL scholarship to study in Angers, France at the Université Catholique de l'Ouest.

  • Licence in Langue Etrangères Appliquées aux Commerce (equivalent to a Bachelors' Degree in Foreign Languages Applied to Business) in 1990 at the University of Belle Beille in Angers, France.

  • Master of Science in Education at Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, 1993.

  • Master of Arts in Romance Languages Program at the University of New Orleans earning the degree in 1996.

My Interests

  • Afro-Caribbean studies. African influence in Spanish, French and English languages.

  • The study of folklore and humor in the Caribbean and in the Coastal areas of South America.

  • Etymology and Lexicon. Development of dictionaries, monolingual and/or bilingual, of slang, jargon, proverbs, etc.

  • Development and application of teaching techniques/devices and methodology in language acquisition.

  • Translation of literary works.
