PROGRAM:

The Department of Foreign Languages, part of the College of Liberal Arts, offers a four-year major, leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree in French. Requirements: a minimum of 32 credit hours in French courses, beyond French 2002 (For additional details, see the General Catalogue, under Curriculum in French.)

A minor is also available. Requirements: 18 credit hours of French with a 2.0 grade point average, starting with French 2002 and above. (See the General Catalogue)

Occasional internships with the Consulate of the Republic of France and its Cultural Services are being offered for some of our best majors.

Our Master of Arts in Romance Languages includes a French option. (see Graduate Program).

INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS

The Department is associated with the following international programs, sponsored by UNO: The exchange program UNO - Université d'Orléans, France (year-length stays).

UNO Summer Program "Glories of France" in Montpellier, France, in association with the Université de Montpellier. (July).
